New Road and Street Works (NRSWA) Qualification for Operatives

This course is designed for operatives who will be working in the highways carrying out duties of excavation and reinstatement of the highways. 

With this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out the work to the standards required by the NRSWA 1991 (the legal framework for street works). 

Course Content Certification:
•  LA - Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus
• 01 - Signing Lighting and Guarding
• 02 - Excavation in the Carriageways/Footways
• 03 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials 
• 04 - Reinstatement of Sub-base and Base in None Bituminous Materials
• 05 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Cold Lay Materials
• 08 - Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways

Additional Units Available:
• 06 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Hot Lay Bituminous Materials
• 07 - Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs 

Duration 5 days Training Course 

Location
The course will be delivered at our training centre in Nottingham

Qualification
On successful completion of the training course operatives will be registered on to the SWQR Street Works Qualifications Register and will be issued with the 5 year Streetworks Certificate and card. 

New Road and Street Works (NRSWA) Qualification for Supervisors

This course is designed for Supervisors who will be monitoring Operatives working in the highways.

With this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out the work to the standards required by the NRSWA 1991 (the legal framework for street works). 

Course Content Certification:
• LA - Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus
• S1 - Monitoring Signing Lighting and Guarding
• S2 - Monitoring Excavation in the Highways
• S3 - Monitoring Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials 
• S4 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Sub-base and Base in None Bituminous Materials
• 05 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Bituminous Materials
• 07 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways

Additional Units Available:
• S6 – Monitoring Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs

On successful completion of the training course supervisors will be registered on to the SWQR Street Works Qualifications Register and will be issued with the 5 year Streetworks Certificate and card. 

New Road and Street Works (NRSWA) Qualification Re-Assessment

This course is designed for operatives who will be renewing their NRSWA Street Works Qualification. A Re-Assessment test is required for each category held on their current SWQR card.
