Course information: This is a 1 day training course for novice or experienced workers for up to a maximum of 6 candidates This can be carried out at your site across the UK or at our training centres The course consists of: Equipment checks hoses, oil bottle, mole, compressor cradle and sites PPE to be worn including electrical protected safety boots and gloves Cat scanning the area before use with the use of the Cat and Genny Marking of the hose to identify when the mole has reached the receiving pit Setting up and launching of the mole using launch cradle, staff and sights Types Moles and sizes Safe use of the carrot to pull back the pipe Attachments that can be used Hazards Risks Permit systems Pre-shift checks End-shift checks Provision and use of work equipment regulations The Underground Moling course entails trainer-led theory sessions followed by an EUSR Skills multiple choice questions. Renewal- 3 Year renewal of programme Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
