Course Overview Consists of: Safe Working at Heights Training Courses This is applicable for anyone who works or will be working at heights. Novice and experienced operators will undergo a ½ day training course, this can be either at your site across the UK or at our training centres. Safe Working at Heights Training course content: • Be aware of accidents that happen while working at heights • Relate the general requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 to their own work activities • Gain a greater understanding of regulations and guidance relating to working at heights. • Be aware of varied means of access to working at heights • Carry out a risk assessment relating to working at heights • Plan further specific work-based training to ensure safe systems of work • Ladders, stepladders and trestles • General access scaffolds • Scaffold towers • Suspended cradles. • Mast-elevated work platforms • Power-operated work platforms • Personal suspension equipment The theory test is based on multiple choice questions of the training material that have been covered. You will be asked multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 80%. Find out more on our Safe Working at Heights Training. Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
