Course information: This is a 1/2 day training course for all persons who may be exposed to dust. This can be carried out at your site across the UK or at our training centres Aims of the Safe Isolation Training Course: This course is intended to enhance employers and employees with knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice, and safety procedures relating to low voltage isolation procedures and practices. Course Overview Consists of: Safe isolation training is crucial for anyone working with or near electrical equipment. It ensures that circuits are de-energized before work begins, preventing electric shock and other hazards. This training typically covers identifying the point of isolation, safely isolating the supply, and verifying the absence of voltage. It also often includes instruction on using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following established safe working procedures. Both you and your employer have a responsibility to make sure that you’re safe at work. It’s a legal requirement for them to provide you with the necessary information, training, PPE and equipment that you need to stay safe. You have a duty to follow their safety instructions, including the proper use of any protective equipment provided. Understand your responsibilities as an employee or employer in using isolation equipment. This is a core Health & Safety course designed for workers in industries that require isolation equipment when working on machinery and electrics Dust Awareness Training Course Contents: • Understanding Regulations • Identifying Isolation Points • Safe Isolation Procedures • Using PPE • Lockout/Tagout Procedures • Permits The theory test is based on multiple choice questions of the training material that have been covered.
