Course information: This is a 1 day training course for novice and the experienced operators, however if this course is delivered with EUSR Category 1 then this would be reduced to a ½ day training course This can be carried out at your site across the UK or at our training centres. The course consists of: Correctly planning of the area to be excavated Obtaining plans and understanding them Using the Cable Avoidance Tool, Cat and Genny to locate in all modes to scan the area Agreeing on signals to be used Segregating the area Marking out the area and services Roles and responsibilities Wearing PPE Isolating of the excavator The dangers of hazards and the risks What to look out for indicating of services that may be present RAMS Permit to work Legislation HSG 47 Renewal- 3 Year renewal of programme Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
