Course Information This course is designed for operatives who will be working in the highways carrying out duties of excavation and reinstatement of the highways. With this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out the work to the standards required by the NRSWA 1991 (the legal framework for street works). Course Content Certification: • LA - Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus • 01 - Signing Lighting and Guarding • 02 - Excavation in the Carriageways/Footways • 03 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials • 04 - Reinstatement of Sub-base and Base in None Bituminous Materials • 05 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Cold Lay Materials • 08 - Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways Additional Units Available: • 06 - Reinstatement and Compaction of Hot Lay Bituminous Materials • 07 - Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs Duration 5 days Training Course Qualification: On successful completion of the training course operatives will be registered on to the SWQR Street Works Qualifications Register and will be issued with the 5-year Streetworks Certificate and card. Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
