Course information: This is a 1/2 day training course for all persons who may be exposed to noise at work. This can be carried out at your site across the UK or at our training centres Aims of the Noise at Work Training Course: Noise at work training is a critical component of construction safety, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills to work safely and protect their health from the hazards of noise at work. Course Overview Consists of: Noise at work awareness training is crucial for educating employees about the dangers of excessive noise in the workplace and how to mitigate those risks. This training helps employees understand the potential for noise-induced hearing loss and other health issues, and empowers them to protect themselves and their colleagues. It also ensures employers comply with relevant regulations, such as the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. Both you and your employer have a responsibility to make sure that you’re safe at work. Your employer is responsible for monitoring and limiting noise exposure. It’s a legal requirement for them to provide you with the necessary information, training, and protective equipment that you need to stay safe. You have a duty to follow their safety instructions, including the proper use of hearing protection provided. In general, this course is suited to anyone who works when in a noisy environment. Noise at Work Awareness Training Course Contents: • Understanding the risks • Legal requirements • Legislation regarding exposure to noise • Hierarchy of Controls • Risk Assessment • Control measures • PPE (personal protective equipment) • Responsibilities • Noise Exposure The theory test is based on multiple choice questions of the training material that have been covered.
