N723 Harness and Fall Arrest

Training Options Available:

Novice or the experienced operators 1/2-day training course on site or at our training centre Harness & Fall Arrest Training consists of: SWL safe working load and WLL working load limit capabilities Precautions and actions for overhead services and other hazards How to stay within safe working parameters Environmental considerations Identify and maintain PPE appropriate Conduct all necessary safety checks at the work area Have a basic understanding of the industry, the dangers of working in the industry and their responsibilities Have a working knowledge of the manufacturer's handbook for the particular harness / fall arrest to be used Conduct all safety checks in accordance with the manufacturer's and legislative requirements Be able to locate and identify major components of the harness / fall arrest and explain their functions Select suitable type of harness / fall arrest relative to the work being undertaken Identify and maintain PPE appropriate for using harness / fall arrest and demonstrate correct us Correctly fit and remove the safety harness / fall arrest Carry out end of work inspections Storage of harness / fall arrest Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
