N722 Material Re-Handler Training Course

Training Options Available:

Above and below 10T: The Material Re-Handler course is for those who will be using a tracked or wheeled material re-handler 360° excavator above 10 tonnes in either land-based, construction or civil engineering projects. Novice operators (wheeled or tracked) 10-day training course Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre Material Re-Handler training includes: Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges Use of the operator’s handbook Checks and procedures for pre-use, start, running and close-down Preparing the excavator for site travel Travelling the excavator over differing types of terrain, including rough, undulating ground and up and down substantial inclines Manoeuvring, progressing to confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction Positioning and setting the machine to handle various types of material Precautions and actions for underground and overhead services and other hazards Soil and material characteristics Handling different types of materials Loading vehicles, dumpers and hoppers Stock-piling materials, separating, spreading and levelling different types of material How to remove and re-attach two different attachments Placing the excavator in an out-of-service condition Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
