Training Options Available:

Novice operators 3-days training course. Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre. Agricultural Tractor Training consists of: Identify the roles and responsibilities’ of the tractor operator Carry out pre use checks, functional checks and correct shut down procedures Understand the names and components of the tractor and their function Use of the operator’s manual Preparing for road and site travel Manoeuvring in confined spaces, open areas forward, reverse, left to right laden and unladen Reversing the tractor with a trailer Hitching up of implements, detaching implements Place the tractor in and out of service Apply all necessary safety precautions and hazards on site Current safety and law regulations Travelling up and down slopes forward, reverse, laden and unladen Safe use of the PTO and implements Correct us of the 3 point linkage system Safety guards and features Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
