Training Options Available:

Novice operators 5-days training course. Experienced operator’s 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre. Road Planer Training course content: Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges. Use of the operator’s handbook, etc. Precautions and actions of hazards including overhead and below ground level services. Pre-use running checks and close-down procedure. Preparing the road planer for site travel. Travelling the road planer over different terrain, including rough, undulating ground. Travelling up and down substantial inclines. Manoeuvring progressing to confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction. Positioning the road planer for planing the various surfaces. Placing the road planer in an out-of-service condition. Positioning the Elevator Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
