Qualification - NPORS
Training Options Available:
Novice operators (wheeled or tracked) 3-days training course. Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre. Skid Steer Loader training includes: Identify the basic construction and components, and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges. Identify and comply with manufacturer's instructions in accordance with the operator’s handbook. Carry out all pre-use and running checks. Alternative skid steer travel options including site and road travel. Travel on different terrains including rough and undulating ground, both in a loaded and unloaded state. Travel up and down substantial inclines in a loaded and unloaded state. Manoeuvre in confined areas using forward and reverse direction, in a loaded and unloaded state. Form stockpiles and ramps of various materials. Load various types of materials into receptacles, i.e. vehicles, hoppers, dumpers etc. Clean and level different types of materials. Place the skid steer in an out-of-service condition. Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
