Upto 1 tonne Novice operators (wheeled or tracked) 3-days training course Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1x day assessment on site or at our training centre Forward Tipping Dumper Training course includes: Essential features of the dumper including basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges Use of the operator’s handbook Checks and procedures for pre-use, start, running and close-down Preparing the dumper for site and road travel Travelling over different types of terrain and varying inclines when loaded and unloaded Manoeuvrability in open and confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction in loaded and unloaded state. Positioning the dumper to receive loads Loading procedures Load characteristics, integrity and security Discharging loads into trenches and over edges Placing the dumper in an out-of-service condition Loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter Trained operator theory test followed by a practical test Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
