Qualification – Level 1 Award in Health and safety in a Construction Environment


Training Options Available:

To get a CSCS Green Card you must complete the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Awareness course. This Level 1 Award Health and Safety qualification is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work, in construction. Successful completion will enable you to move on to take the CITB health, safety, and environment test, and then apply for the new Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card. This card allows access to construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker. Course Consists of: Understanding the importance of Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Define the Health and Safety Legislation and its impact on the work environment. Identify risk assessments and safer working practices regarding hazards in a construction environment. Explain the consequences of failure of compliance. Prepare for CSCS green card assessment. Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment Accredited Exam On completion of the course you will receive a valid certificate, you will be able to use this towards applying for a CSCS Green Card upon successfully completing of the Health and safety touch screen test. Grants Construction companies registered with the CITB levy can claim grants from the CITB for NVQ’s and each completed course
