360 Excavator

360 Excavator Over 10T Training Courses

Training options available:
  • Novice operators (wheeled or tracked) 10-days training course.
  • Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre.
Qualification:
  • NPORS 
The 360 Excavator Over 10T Training course consists of:
  • Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges
  • Use of the operator’s handbook, etc.
  • Pre-use, start, running checks and close-down procedure.
  • Preparing the excavator for site and road travel.
  • Travelling the excavator over differing types of terrain, including rough, undulating ground and up and down substantial inclines.
  • Manoeuvring, progressing to confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction.
  • Positioning and setting the machine to excavate.
  • Precautions and actions for underground and overhead services and other hazards.
  • Soil and material characteristics excavating below ground level.
  • Loading vehicles and dumpers.
  • Backfilling, grading, spreading and levelling different types of terrain.
  • How to remove and re-attach two different buckets.
  • Placing the excavator in an out-of-service condition.
  • Trained operator theory test.

Quick Hitch Safety Awareness Training Courses

Training options available:
The Quick Hitch Safety Awareness is a 1 day training course which is aimed at all 360 excavator operators when operating with a quick hitch device.

Qualification:
  • NPORS 
Quick Hitch Safety Awareness training includes:
  • Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices.
  • Describe the operator's legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches.
  • Describe and apply safe working practices for the use of quick hitches.
  • Practically connect and disconnect attachments safely.
  • Know when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch.
  • Maintenance of quick hitch equipment
  • Apply the appropriate methods for testing connections.
  • Realise the importance of following the manufacturer's specification for use.
  • Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices.
  • Perform the operator's legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches. 
  • Demonstrate the safe working practices for the use of quick hitches. 
  • Demonstrate the procedures for connecting and disconnecting attachments.
  • Demonstrate when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch. 
  • Carry out maintenance of quick hitch equipment. 
  • Demonstrate the appropriate methods for testing connections. 
  • Comply with the manufacturers' specification for use.

Material Re-Handler Training Courses

Training options available above and below 10T:
The Material Re-Handler course is for those who will be using a tracked or wheeled material re-handler 360° excavator above 10 tonnes in either land-based, construction or civil engineering industries.

  • Experienced operators (wheeled or tracked) 1-day assessment on site or at our training centre.
